Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese is a hard, granular cheese with a complex fruity, nutty taste named after its home: Italy’s Parma and Reggio Emilia regions.
Parmigiano Reggiano is still made with artisanal methods, as it has always been, using only fresh cow’s milk from its area of origin and without any additives or preservatives. It is aged a minimum of 12 months and sometimes more than 2 years. Each wheel is checked everyday to ensure that only the best wheels carry the Parmigiano Reggiano name.
