Pear, Tre Stelle® Romano and Walnut Pizza

We know fruit and cheese go well together, add some walnuts and slivers of Romano Cheese and you’ve got a pizza that’s par to a gourmet bistro!

Ingredients:

1 pear 1 | 400 g pre-baked pizza crust 2 tbsp | 30 mL olive oil 1 cup | 250 mL Tre Stelle® Grated Romano Cheese 3/4 cup | 175 g walnut pieces 1/4 tsp | 1 mL fresh ground black pepper 1/4 tsp | 1 mL salt 1 tbsp | 15 mL fresh thyme leaves optional handful fresh baby arugula or salad greens for garnish drizzle balsamic cream shaved Tre Stelle® Romano LUPA

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) Core and slice the pear vertically into thin slices. Place crust on foil-lined baking sheet. Brush crust with olive oil. Sprinkle crust with half of the Romano Cheese and walnuts. Place the pear slices in a circle around the crust. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and walnuts. Season with salt, pepper and fresh thyme. Bake for 15 minutes, or until crust begins to brown. Remove from oven, top with arugula/greens and drizzle with balsamic cream if desired, slice and serve.
