Ham, Alpine Potato and Three Cheese Gratin
Ingredients
2 lb (1 kg) baking potatoes, thinly sliced, divided (about 6 cups/1.5 L)
1 large onion, finely chopped, divided
6 oz (170 g) thinly sliced cooked ham
1-1/4 cups (300 mL) chicken broth
2 tbsp (30 mL) all-purpose
flour
2 cups (500 mL) shredded Tre StelleŽ Mozzarella/Brick/Cheddar Blend
Method
Layer half the potato slices and half the onion in 2-quart (2 L) shallow rectangular
baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Arrange ham slices evenly over potatoes. Top with a second layer of potatoes and onions. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Smoothly combine chicken broth and flour.
Cook and stir over medium-high heat until mixture boils and thickens, pour over potatoes and ham in baking dish. Sprinkle Tre StelleŽ Mozzarella/Brick/Cheddar Blend evenly
over surface.
Bake, uncovered, in 375°F (190°C) oven
for 60 to 70 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is browned. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
