French Toast Filled with Mascarpone

Ingredients

12 slices of milk bread
1 cup (250 g) Tre Stelle® Mascarpone
6 eggs
3/4 cup (175 mL) milk
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
Butter
Icing sugar
2 cups (500 mL) mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
Maple syrup

Method

Remove crust from bread, optional. Spread Tre Stelle® Mascarpone evenly on half the bread slices;
top with remaining slices.

Whip together eggs, milk and vanilla and pour mixture into a shallow dish. Dip each sandwich in egg mixture, turning
it over to cover evenly.

Heat a bit of butter in a non-stick frying pan and fry sandwiches at medium-low heat for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes on each
side or until they are golden brown on both sides. Add a bit of butter to the frying pan as needed.

Sprinkle with icing sugar, cut and
serve with mixed berries and maple syrup.
