Cooking Ingredient: Lemon, because it adds a lovely kick to both sweet and savoury dishes.
Meal: Breakfast. Although I often eat the same thing (orange juice, toast, yogurt, and coffee), it’s a routine I love and I just wouldn’t function without a hearty breakfast. Plus, there’s the opportunity of turning the meal into a lazy brunch on weekends!
Course: Dessert. I like a sweet ending to every meal, but not the cloyingly sweet variety. I love anything made with dark chocolate.
Kitchen Tool: My chef’s knife. It’s like an extension of my hand. I even travel with it!
Restaurant: In Québec City, it’s Le Clocher Penché, without question. They serve creative bistro-style food made with the best local ingredients. And most importantly: they make the very best brunches in the city.
Foodie City: Paris. For the endless choice of bakeries and pastry shops.
