Grilled Donuts à la Mode Mascarpone

1 cup Tre Stelle® Mascarpone ½ cup whipping cream 1 tbsp confectioners sugar ¼ cup miniature chocolate chips 1 tsp vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean scraped 6 glazed donuts, cut in halves horizontally 6 tbsp butter, softened garnish fresh berries, chocolate or caramel sauce; toasted nuts
Place Mascarpone, whipping cream, sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl and whip with a hand or stand mixer until incorporated – approximately 2 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Preheat outdoor grill or stove-top grill pan to medium-high. Spread the cut side of each donut with a thin layer of butter. Carefully grill donuts on both sides until lightly caramelized. Allow donuts to cool slightly, top with a generous spoonful of mascarpone mixture. Top with freshly chopped fruit or add your favourite dessert toppings.
