Ingredients:

1 pkg 200g Tre Stelle® Halloumi cheese cut into 1/4” cubes* 2 tbsp olive oil 1 medium leek, cleaned and thinly sliced 1 medium pears such as Bosc or Anjou, cored and cut into ¼” cubes 2 sprigs fresh thyme 1 tsp red peppercorns, crushed pinch sea salt 1 tbsp maple syrup 8 slices toasted baguette 2 tbsp toasted hazelnuts (optional)

Instructions:

Heat a non-stick skillet to medium high; add 1 tbsp of olive oil Add leeks and sauté until soft; add pears, thyme, peppercorns and sea salt Continue to sauté until pears begin to soften; remove from heat and set aside Heat a non-stick skillet to medium high; add remaining tablespoon of olive oil Add cubes of Halloumi and toss in skillet to brown all sides; remove from heat and set aside Toss browned Halloumi cubes with pear/leek mixture Top equally onto baguette slices and drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with hazelnuts Switch it up! – Use Tre Stelle Halloumi as a base for the bread, cut Halloumi Cheese into 8 equal slices, sautée in 1 tbsp olive oil in a large non-stick skillet until brown on each side, top with pear/leek mixture, maple syrup and hazelnuts
