Tre Stelle® Bocconcini Wontons with Pesto Mayonnaise
You haven’t had cheese wontons until you’ve tried these! An Italian style 4-ingredient wonton that’s quick as a snap to make.Prep Time:

Pesto Mayonnaise 1/2 cup | 125 mL mayonnaise 1/4 cup | 60 mL pesto Wontons 1 tub | 200 g Tre Stelle® Bocconcini Cheese, drained and cut in halves 6 slices prosciutto, sliced into quarters vertically 16 medium fresh basil leaves 16 wonton wrappers 1 1/2 cups | 325 g canola oil
Pesto Mayonnaise: combine mayonnaise and pesto in a small bowl. Add extra pesto to adjust to your taste. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Wontons: Wrap each Bocconcini half with prosciutto and top with a basil leaf and place in the centre of a wonton wrapper. Brush all sides of the wrapper with water using a pastry brush or your finger. Fold all corners up to the top and press firmly to seal, forming a parcel. Heat oil in a large saucepan (or use an electric fryer) to 350º F (175ºC). Carefully place the wontons into the oil and cook until golden brown. Cook in batches of 4 as to not over crowd the pan. Drain on paper towels; drizzle tops with pesto mayonnaise and serve with remaining pesto mayonnaise for dipping.
