I present to you Oatmeal in a jar! I know I call it a jar, but by all means, if you’re taking it to go, or sending your kids off to school wot h it, consider using shatter-proof containers.

1 cup | 240 g Tre Stelle® Extra Smooth Ricotta 1 cup rolled oats 1 1/3 cups | 330 mL milk 2 tbsp chia seeds, flax meal or hemp seeds 1 tsp | 4 mL vanilla extract 1/8 tsp salt 4 tbsp | 60 mL Honey or maple syrup 2 – 8 oz mason jars with lids


In a medium sized bowl, whisk together all ingredients until combined. Spoon into a jar and secure with lid. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 5 hours before eating. Flavour combinations: Chocolate Peanut Butter: Add 2 tablespoons each of peanut butter and cocoa; garnish with chocolate chips or chopped peanuts if desired. Berry Cheesecake: Add 1 cup of cubed fresh strawberries or whole blueberries tossed with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice: garnish with additional blueberries or sliced strawberries if desired. Apple Pie: Add 1 cup of cubed fresh apples tossed with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of cinnamon: garnish with toasted sliced almonds if desired.
